What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to this website only. It does not cover other websites we link to.

The information we collect

Information you give us

When you complete our enquiry form, contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we may collect:

  • Your first name and last name
  • Your email address
  • Your telephone number
  • The make, model and year of your vehicle
  • The type of repair you need and your description of the work required
  • Photographs of the work required, which you upload to us
  • Your preferred method of contact
  • Any other information you choose to include in your message

Photographs you upload may contain more than the damage itself, for example a registration plate, a location, or other people or vehicles in the background. They may also carry hidden information such as the date and place the photograph was taken. We only use them to assess the work and prepare your quotation, and we store them with the rest of your enquiry.

If you contact us through WhatsApp, your message is handled by WhatsApp, which is part of Meta. Their own terms and privacy policy will apply to that conversation as well as ours.

Information we collect automatically

When you visit the website we may collect technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, the pages you view and how you arrived at the site. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies. Please see our Cookie Policy for full details and for how to manage your preferences.

We do not set non-essential cookies without your consent.

Why we use your information and our lawful basis

What we use it for Lawful basis
Responding to your enquiry and providing a quotation Steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract
Carrying out repair or respray work and managing your job Performance of a contract
Keeping records of quotations and work carried out Legitimate interests, being the proper running and record keeping of our business
Meeting our legal and tax obligations Compliance with a legal obligation
Analysing how the website is used so we can improve it Consent, given through our cookie banner
Advertising and remarketing Consent, given through our cookie banner
Sending you marketing emails about our services Consent, given by ticking the box on our enquiry form, or the soft opt-in under PECR where you have previously used our services
Recording telephone calls Legitimate interests, being accurate record keeping, staff training and service quality
Dealing with complaints, disputes or insurance claims Legitimate interests, being the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are outweighed by your rights. You can object to this processing at any time using the details above.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.

Marketing

If you tick the box on our enquiry form, we will send you occasional emails about our services, offers and examples of our work. You do not have to tick it, and it makes no difference to how we deal with your enquiry.

If you have used our services before, we may also send you occasional emails about similar services we offer, on the basis that you would reasonably expect to hear from us. Every message we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or by contacting us.

We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Telephone calls

We use a service called CallTrackingMetrics to understand which adverts and web pages lead people to telephone us. It shows different telephone numbers to different visitors and links a call back to the visit that prompted it. This only happens if you have accepted call tracking cookies. If you have not, you will see our standard number and no link is made.

Through this service we may hold your telephone number, the date, time and length of your call, and the advert or page you came from.

We record telephone calls so we have an accurate record of what was discussed and agreed about your vehicle, and to help us train our staff and improve our service. You will be told at the start of the call that it is being recorded. If you would prefer not to be recorded, tell us and we will make a note instead.

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, being the proper running of our business and keeping accurate records of what was agreed on work that can be substantial. We have considered your rights in reaching this view, and you can object at any time using the details above.

Recordings are kept for ninety days. You can ask for a copy of a recording of your own call.

Session recording

We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors move around our website, including mouse movements, clicks and scrolling. This helps us find pages that are confusing or not working properly. This only happens if you have accepted analytics cookies.

Clarity is configured to mask the content of form fields, so it does not capture what you type into our enquiry forms. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
